The Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize is an annual acquisitive prize that advances art and opportunity for emerging and established women artists in Australia
Winners to be announced on 14 May in Sydney.
Annalisa Ferraris is a Sydney based artist, known for her abstract realism hard edge minimalist painting and empty swimming pool artworks.
Scenes of abandonment and a sharp execution of shadows and mature palette play with illusion and sense of depth and space. Her paintings almost become sculptures in themselves as Annalisa encourages the viewer to appreciate beauty in the mundane.
Annalisa Ferraris has been a finalist in the Brett Whiteley Travelling Art scholarship, the Mosman Art Prize, Paddington Art Prize and the Eutick Memorial Still Life Art (EMSLA) Prize.
