The Art of Dr Seuss
Dr Seuss’ is the pseudonym name created by editorial cartoonist Theodor Seuss Geisel. The Dr Seuss' artwork became the platform from which he delivered forty-four children’s books, more than 400 World War II political cartoons, hundreds of advertisements, and countless editorials filled with wonderfully inventive animals, characters, and humour.
Everyone is familiar with the Dr Seuss books and illustrations however Seuss was foremost a visual artist who painted and sculpted for his own enjoyment. He termed this work his ‘Secret Art’. Seuss always dreamed of sharing his ‘Secret Art’ with his fans and entrusted his wife to carry out his wishes once he was gone. In 1997, this dream was realized when The Art of Dr Seuss project was launched.
The fabulous works from the Estate of Dr Seuss are now available to buy from Mitchell Fine Art, in Fortitude Valley Brisbane. Dr Seuss art is reproduced as limited editions, with the pieces being individually numbered.
“SOLD OUT” means that as a gallery, we cannot buy anymore from the Dr Seuss art publisher. It does NOT mean we do not have it in our inventory. For stock enquiries please email firstname.lastname@example.org
