“The garden is my own and Wendy’s. Last year whilst recovering from a knee operation, I found myself confined to barracks, on crutches for 3 months. So, I set up the garden as my source and inspiration for subject matter. Several paintings followed, this being one of the most successful.

The colours follow Wendy and my choice, influenced by garden Majorelle in Fez, Morocco. The mural on the laundry doors, a copy of Matisse’s dance painting. I am hoping to exhibit my homage to many more artists gardens next year in Brisbane at Mitchell Fine art.”
